Visitation Rules and Regulations
All information deemed to be correct, but subject to change without notice.
Effective March 1, 2003

Visitation Schedule
Saturday or Sunday Only

Holidays may affect the normal visitation rotation, call for confirmation.
Morning Visitation:  8:00 AM To 10:30 AM
Afternoon Visitation:  1:30 PM To 4:00 PM
 
Visitor Registration
No One Will Be Allowed To Register After These Times
Morning Visitation:  10:00 AM
Afternoon Visitation:  3:00 PM

All Visitors To The Claiborne Parish Detention Center Will Be Required To Abide By The Following Rules:

  1. No contraband allowed.
  2. No tobacco products allowed.
  3. Visitors must be appropriately dressed.
    • No halters, tank tops or muscle shirts allowed.
    • No see-through blouses.
    • No sleeveless shirts or dresses, plain white t-shirts or undershirts allowed.
    • No cut-offs or mini-skirts allowed.
    • No caps, hats, bandannas, scarves, gloves or jackets.
    • No shorts unless 10 years old or younger.
  4. No purses or fanny packs allowed.
  5. All visitors must wear shoes and all females must wear bras.
  6. Visitors will furnish a valid government - issued picture I.D.
    • An adult must accompany visitors 16 years old & younger
    • Visitors 17 years old and older must furnish a valid government - issued I.D. or driver's license (school I.D. is not acceptable.)
  7. No former inmates released from the claiborne parish detention center within the last 12 months will be allowed to visit.
  8. No individuals on active probation or parole will be allowed to visit.
  9. No inappropriate behavior.
  10. Visitors under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol may be denied visitation.
  11. Children must not be left in the lobby unless under the supervision of an individual 15 years of age or older.
  12. Visitors will not be allowed to return to the visitation area once they conclude their visit.
  13. All visitors will be searched (no exception).
  14. No cellular phones or pagers will be allowed.
  15. All visitors will be responsible for their child's behavior.
  16. The only items allowed will be car keys.
  17. The only amount of cash that visitors may have in their possession is $50.00 cash for IWF purposes.

Failure to follow visitation rules may result in the visitors being banned from the facility or criminal prosecution.

The duty warden has the authority to prohibit any visitation.

All items left in the visitation area that is not claimed within (30) days will be disposed of thereafter.
